Minto has been investing in electricity and natural gas reduction measures at their commercial buildings and multi-unit residential buildings for decades, and are now turning their attention towards the goal of achieving net zero carbon (NZC) by 2050.
As part of this journey, Minto has engaged RDH Building Science to complete a deep retrofit study at their Castleview property and are pleased to share the findings below.
Minto’s goal is to help others understand the steps and budget to perform a deep retrofit, as well as the potential savings, so that as an industry we can start executing on more carbon reduction projects. If we can significantly reduce our impact while making our communities more comfortable, healthier to live in, and more resilient to climate change we can leave a positive legacy!
Minto would like to encourage others to follow by example and share their own findings so we can work together to accelerate deep retrofits and build toward a carbon-free tomorrow.
