Sustainable Buildings Canada Welcomes Two New Board Members
Sustainable Buildings Canada is thrilled to announce two new members to our Board of Directors: Mike Williams, and Robin Hutcheson.
Mike Williams is a professional engineer and Principal at RWDI. Mike brings over a decade of sustainable design experience to RWDI’s High Performance Buildings group. Mike has been a key contributor to some of Canada’s greenest buildings, including the CANMET Materials and Testing Laboratory in Hamilton and the Elementary Teachers’ Federation Headquarters in Toronto, both of which earned LEED Platinum certification and set new standards for sustainability in their respective communities. Mike has a strong record of in-house innovation and thought leadership, including the creation of COMPASS, a groundbreaking energy data visualization platform.
Robin is a 30+ year veteran of the design, construction and facility management fields. He is an electrical/energy engineer and president of Arborus Consulting, a performance engineering practice located in Ottawa. Robin has been working with Sustainable Buildings Canada since he presented at the first Green Building conference, back in 2004. He has led the Savings By Design program workshop deliveries for the past four years, and was instrumental at bringing multiple projects to the program.
