Retrofit of Existing Multi-Family Rental Building – Ottawa, December 2010

by | Dec 17, 2010 | Charrettes

OttawaMintoGreenSaver, managers of the Multifamily Energy Efficiency Rebates (MEER) initiative, requested that SBC undertake a Design Charrette, the focus of which was to identify means to significantly increase the energy and resource efficiency of an existing multi-residential high-rise building in Ottawa, Ontario.  The subject building was Seneca Towers, 1343 Meadowlands Drive, Ottawa owned by Minto.

The event was a one-day workshop intended to explore practical means to improving the energy performance of the building.

In addition to the energy efficiency aspects of the building, Minto is interested in having the outcome encompass community level ideas – they want to take the concepts forward to other Minto buildings.
