SBC: COVID-19 Ventilation Upgrades Webinar

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the world. It has helped heighten our collective understanding and appreciation for indoor air quality. Building owners and facility managers have had to learn and apply new strategies that systematically improve the buildings in which we work, live, and learn. At the same time, the pressure to reduce energy usage and lower GHG emissions to meet our climate change commitments is forcing hard choices to be made about how we design, construct, and operate our buildings today and in the future.

Join us for a special professional development session where we will learn about the hierarchy of controls, key areas to consider when creating an indoor air quality plan, the current legislative environment, health impacts, greenhouse gas reduction opportunities, as well as results from proven strategies deployed in over 320 schools in Ontario.

In addition to the compelling content from our panelists, there will also be a 30-minute attendee-driven question and answer session to allow for a deeper dive into the intersection of indoor air quality and sustainability.

Presenters and Panelists:

Josh Lewis, Nerva Energy

Cara Sloat, Hammerschlag & Joffe

Tony Cupido, Mohawk College
