The City of Toronto and provincial Ontario Government have demonstrated leadership by investing more than $1 billion in energy conservation programming, sustainability, and renewable energy in the past five years with thousands of energy efficient building renovation projects completed. Toronto high-rise office buildings undergoing sustainable retrofits routinely strive to achieve LEED Platinum certification, and new high-rise multi-family buildings target LEED Gold.
